Do You Know Who Is The Artist Who Decides Who Performs At The Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Kendrick Lamar will perform at the famous halftime show of the upcoming Super Bowl final, which will take place on February 9, 2025. Find out who the musician who chose him was.

Every year, the Super Bowl American football championship brings the US to a standstill, not only for the game, but also for the musical halftime show.

This year, the championship final will take place on February 9, 2025, in New Orleans, and the singer who will be responsible for the musical performance is Kendrick Lamar.

But do you know who made this decision? Fellow singer Jay-Z.

After Lil Wayne expressed his genuine disappointment at not being chosen for next year's final, which will take place in his hometown, the show's producer, Jesse Collins, explained to Variety how the choice is made.

"It's a decision that Jay [Jay-Z] makes. Since we've been in charge of this show, he's been the one who decides every year, and it's been incredible. He always makes the right choice," he said.

Jay-Z and Roc Nation began a partnership with the NFL in 2019, with the artist taking on the role of "live music entertainment strategist."

"We love Wayne. There's always a lot of betting on who's going to perform. But I think we're going to put on an incredible show with Kendrick, and I think everyone is going to love the halftime show," Jay-Z said in a statement, as quoted by People.
