Gary Oldman Wants To Be In The 'Harry Potter' Series... But In Another Role

Warner Bros. is currently developing a 'reboot' of the 'Harry Potter' saga that will take the form of a series for the Max streaming service. It is known that the production is currently looking for actors for the cast and, apparently, they already have a well-known candidate to take on one of the main roles.

Gary Oldman, who played the character Sirius Black in the film saga, said in an interview with IndieWire that he was willing to join the project. However, Oldman noted that he would not return to play Harry Potter's godfather who is introduced in 'Prisoner of Azkaban'.

“I love Sirus. He didn't appear [in the films] enough. He appeared and disappeared behind the veil. I bet they'll get a new cast of people. Maybe in a few years I can play Dumbledore,” said the 66-year-old British actor.
