A 28-year-old man was suspected of fatally stabbing a 49-year-old man last week in the center of Rennes, France. He was arrested at Rossy - Charles de Gaulle airport on Saturday.
According to Le Parisien, quoting a statement from the Rennes public prosecutor, the suspect was about to take a flight to Mayotte.
The murder took place on Tuesday, using a kitchen knife, after which the attacker fled.
The detainee, who already had a criminal record, confessed the crime to the judge, saying that it happened after an argument with the victim over drug trafficking.
Le Parisien reports that the suspect has been charged with murder and is being held in custody.
