Two Men Shot Dead Near Frankfurt, Germany. Shooter Flees

Two men died on Saturday in the German city of Bad Nauheim, near Frankfurt, after being shot by a person who fled the scene, police sources said.

“At this point, we assume there is a single perpetrator,” police said in an initial statement, without providing further details about the shooter, who is still at large.

The police then launched a manhunt, but by the end of Saturday they had not yet obtained any concrete leads on the possible perpetrator.

However, after cordoning off the area around the crime scene, next to a three-story building, officers declared that “there is no danger to residents or the public.”

It is believed that the incident took place in a residential complex with several apartment blocks near a swimming pool. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found two bodies, both with gunshot wounds.

No further details were given about the victims, including their ages or relationship to the alleged attacker.
