New footage shows heavily armed American forces transporting Nicolás Maduro through New York City streets with van doors wide open for all to see.
This follows reports that U.S. forces bombed the mausoleum of Hugo Chávez, Maduro's predecessor and the godfather of Venezuela's socialist revolution, during the initial strikes on Caracas.
The symbolism is hard to miss.
Destroy the shrine of the revolution's founder. Capture his successor in the dead of night.
Parade him through American streets like a trophy.
If Trump wanted to send a message, he sent it.
