Daughter Of Influencer Accused Of Abuse Handed Over To Grandmother

A court in Anápolis, Brazil, has sent the daughter of digital influencers Igor Viana, 24, and Ana Santi, 22, home to her paternal grandparents.

According to O Globo, the decision comes after the father was denounced for mistreating the baby, who has cerebral palsy, after audios were released of the man confessing to taking money from donations to the child for his own use.

The decision was made this Monday and the action was taken as a precautionary measure. A team from the Military Police (PM) was present at the scene, as well as a guardianship counselor.

The man is suspected of ill-treatment, fraud, embezzlement of funds from a disabled person and causing embarrassment to the child.

In one of the videos under investigation, Igor calls his daughter useless after asking her to go to the market. As well as verbal abuse, the police also received complaints that the girl was not being well looked after and had poor hygiene conditions. 

Igor Viana identifies himself on social media as 'Soso's father' and 'servant of the living God'. The digital influencer shares his sick daughter's routine with thousands of followers, as well as using the platforms to ask for donations that would be used to care for the child.

According to the Guardianship Council, the man tried to flee with the child after learning of the decision.
