Samsung's first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, was announced at the beginning of the year, but with the Unpacked event on Wednesday 10th, the company had the opportunity to reveal more details about the watch.
Samsung indicated at the presentation that the Galaxy Ring is equipped with three different sensors, which not only monitor heart rate and sleep quality, but also evaluate the exercise done by users. The South Korean technology company said that the Galaxy Ring was created to offer continuous monitoring of users' health and well-being, noting that these features do not have any kind of subscription associated with them.
As far as the battery is concerned, Samsung said that the Galaxy Ring has enough autonomy for up to seven days of use on a single charge - which can be done in its own box/charger. It was also pointed out that the Galaxy Ring is made of titanium, which makes it more durable but lighter and more resistant to extreme temperatures.
The Galaxy Ring will be available in black, silver and also gold, is IP68 certified and will go on sale from July 24th. The pre-order period has already started and the price is set at 399.99 dollars.
