Ben Yedder, the French striker who has played for AS Monaco for the last five seasons, appeared at the Court of Appeal in Aix-en-Provence on Tuesday and tomorrow, Wednesday, he will find out whether he will be remanded in custody or whether he will remain free until the trial scheduled for October 15 in Nice, where he will face charges of alleged sexual assault.
According to RMC Sport, the Public Prosecutor's Office is asking for the striker to remain in pre-trial detention, stressing the risk of exerting pressure on the victim and witnesses, as well as the risk of flight.
Ben Yedder was arrested on September 9 in Cap-d'Ail after being accused of “sexual assault, refusing to obey the authorities and driving under the influence of alcohol”.
