Five Spanish Policemen Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Trafficking
Five officers from the Alcalá de Guadaíra National Police station in the Spanish province of Seville have been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, reports El Mundo.
According to the publication, which cites police sources, the police station is the focal point of an operation against internal corruption carried out by the National Police's Internal Affairs Unit following indications that officers may be linked to drug trafficking organizations.
The operation was carried out throughout the municipality of Seville on Tuesday morning, and the authority expects more than 30 arrests to be made.
