Geny Catamo 'Tastes The Finger' And Mozambique Defeats Eswatini

The Mozambican national soccer team beat their counterparts from Eswatini 3-0 today in the fourth round of Group I qualifying for the African Cup of Nations (CAN), which will be held in Morocco in 2025.

With today's win, the 'mambas' take the lead in Group I, with eight points, on condition that Mali, with seven points and one game in hand, play Guinea-Bissau, who have three points and one game in hand, on Tuesday.

In a match they completely dominated, the Mozambican team scored the first goal in the 11th minute, through captain Domingues, a HCB Songo player, and increased their lead in the 40th minute through Ratifo, who plays for BSG Chemi Leipzig in Germany.

In the second half, the 'mambas' added to their lead through Geny Catamo, from Sporting, in the 59th minute.

With today's defeat, the Swazi team remain in last place, with just one point from four matches in Group I.

The match was played in Nelspruit, South Africa, which serves as Essuatíni's 'home', since the country's soccer fields are unable to host official Confederation of African Football (CAF) matches.

Mozambique still has to play Mali in Maputo and Guinea-Bissau in Bissau, with the aim of qualifying for CAN2025 in Morocco.
