An American missionary, who had moved to Angola with his wife and five children, was killed in what looked like an ambush. However, it was all planned by his wife.
Beau Shroyer, his wife Jackie, and their children had been living in a remote area of Angola since 2021.
On October 25, the man was stabbed to death near where he lived in Lubango.
The police believe that the killer is a security guard that the family had hired, a man with whom Jackie had an extramarital relationship.
Jackie and two other people have been arrested for organizing and committing the crime, said Angola's Criminal Investigation Service, while a third person remains at large, reports Fox.
In the US, in Minnesota, the couple's hometown, everyone is surprised by what happened.
“I have no words. I'm shocked that this happened. I can't believe she planned all this,” says a friend, Carl Gessell.
The family moved to Angola because Beau believed he was following God's will by going to help children in this African country. His wife had started dating the 27-year-old security guard they had hired. The murder weapon was an American knife that Jackie had given as a gift to her then-lover.
