CIA Employee Detained by FBI for Revealing Israel's Military Plans

A Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) official has been charged for allegedly making public secret information about Israel's retaliatory plans against Iran for a missile attack earlier this year, according to court documents, the international press reports.

Asif W. Rahman, who was arrested by the FBI on Tuesday, faces two counts of violating the Espionage Act for keeping and transmitting US defense information.

The man was arrested in Cambodia and will first appear in court in Guam, although there has been a request for the man to be tried in Virginia.

The information in the documents was classified as highly confidential and details information from satellite images that shed light on a possible Israeli attack on Iran.

The documents began circulating last month on Telegram.
