US Elections? Scholz And Macron Will “Coordinate Closely”

Chancellor Scholz had a telephone conversation with the French president this morning about the US elections. Close coordination on this issue was agreed,” the German government spokesman told AFP, at a time when Donald Trump is claiming victory that has not yet been made official.

The French president welcomed the Republican candidate's victory, saying he was prepared to work together as he had during Trump's four years as president.

“With his convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity,” he wrote on the social network X.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated Republican candidate Donald Trump on his yet-to-be-official victory on social media.

“Italy and the United States are 'sister' nations, bound by an unshakeable alliance, common values and a historic friendship,” she said on the social network X.

The head of the Austrian government, conservative Karl Nehammer, also congratulated Trump on his victory in the US elections, expressing his desire to deepen relations between the two countries.

“The United States is an important strategic partner for Austria. We hope to continue to expand and strengthen our transatlantic relations in order to successfully face global challenges,” he said in a brief message on the X social network.
