Fires. Journalist Interviews Actor Steve Guttenberg And Doesn't Recognize Him

The California wildfires have already forced thousands of people from their homes and caused damage to many homes. Many were advised to leave the area, and many others want to contribute to fighting the flames, including many celebrities and well-known names in the public eye.

The first fire started in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, January 7. Several fires broke out in other regions in the following hours, leading to the evacuation of the homes of more than 80,000 people.

Among them, there are several celebrities who live or have vacation homes in the area. Some of them had their houses completely consumed by the flames.

During a report on the site, a journalist was surprised when interviewing a man, thinking he was just another resident, who turned out to be a name well known to moviegoers: Steve Guttenberg.

Guttenberg appealed live for people not to leave their cars parked and locked. "Leave the keys inside the cars, so that people like me can get them out if necessary, so that the firefighters can get through," the man warned, saying that this is "very, very important."

The journalist ends up thanking the intervention, finally asking his name.

"Steve Guttenberg," he replies. "He's an actor, right? I'm recognizing him now," reacts the journalist.

The images of the moment are earning the 66-year-old actor, from films such as 'Police Academy' or 'Three Men and a Baby', much praise, for being on the field trying to make his contribution to mitigate the consequences of the tragedy.
