A cat whose family thought had disappeared while moving house turned out to be trapped inside a sofa in a removal van.
Sunny-Loo is considered a survivor after spending three weeks without food or water.
The search for the animal began in December last year when the family sold their house in Washington and moved to Colorado, where his owner was going to start working at a new job.
The feline disappeared when the movers arrived on the scene. The family spent days searching for the animal, asking for help from family, friends and neighbors, but eventually they had to move into their new home without the cat.
The discovery was only made when the removal company, which had been delayed, delivered the furniture to the house. When they started packing up, the family heard a meow.
After three weeks stuck on the sofa bed, the feline spent three days in a veterinary intensive care unit.
“From a medical point of view, I don't have an answer as to why this cat survived this ordeal. It's truly remarkable. We don't always have an explanation in cases like this, but I agree with the family. She's a miracle cat,” said the vet.
