Corinthians Wins Millions After Title, But Almost All Goes to Depay

Corinthians got the better of Palmeiras in the Paulistão final on Thursday night and is now preparing to receive a prize of five million reais (just over 800 thousand euros) which, however, will go almost entirely into the pockets of... Memphis Depay.

As Globoesporte explains this Friday, the Dutch star has a clause in his contract that guarantees him a cash prize of 4.7 million pounds for each title won while playing for the Brazilian club, so in this case there will only be around 275 thousand reais (around 44 thousand euros) left of the five million.

This is, in fact, the third bonus activated in Depay's contract, who had already received two prizes worth 1,575,201 million reais (around 250 thousand euros) for having reached the 15 and 20 goal mark in which he participated for Corinthians.
