This Thursday, at 19:45 (mainland Portugal time), Portugal will be looking to take a step closer to qualifying for the semi-finals of the Nations League. They face Denmark at the Parken in Copenhagen.
Roberto Martínez, it should be remembered, has already been forced to 'cut' the list of 26 players called up for the 'quarters', as Nuno Tavares arrived 'touched' from Lazio and, after being examined by the team's medical department, was declared unfit and, consequently, dismissed from the training camp.
The expectation is that the Spanish coach will opt to return to the 4x3x3, not least because there are currently few options in the center of defense, in a match that could (finally) see Geovany Quenda make his debut.
