Speculation about the first foldable iPhone continues and, while rumors cite a possible launch between 2026 and 2027, a page on the Chinese social network Weibo indicates that the hinge of this phone will be made of a more resistant material than titanium.
This information, which has already been shared in the past by well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, indicates that Apple plans to use liquid metal which, as well as being 2.5x more resistant than titanium, is also resistant to deformation and pressure - which makes it more suitable for a hinge that is supposed to be long-lasting.
We'll have to wait to confirm the veracity of this rumor, as there is also information circulating that points to Apple's desire to eliminate the 'crease' that usually remains on the flexible screens of this type of phone.
