Android Authority has discovered a new feature in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android phones that will give users who receive video calls the option to disable their camera before accepting the call.
It is worth remembering that, currently, answering a video call on WhatsApp means that you will start talking with the camera filming and it is only possible to deactivate it after you decide to answer the call. According to the post, users will be able to press a button below their profile icon to disable the camera, with the call answer button reflecting this change.
It is not yet known when this feature will be released in the final version of WhatsApp, but given that it is already present in the beta version it is likely that it will not take much longer.
