Social network Bluesky has unveiled a new account verification system that will help users know which pages are the most trustworthy, with the familiar blue badge next to the name.
Bluesky shared a blog post noting that, in addition to “proactively verifying notable and authentic accounts”, it will also use Trusted Verifiers. These “independent organizations” selected by the company will help verify other accounts, a process that will also be evaluated by the company.
The social network notes, however, that it is not currently accepting verification requests. Elon Musk's main X rival says it will only accept verification requests once this feature has stabilized.
