Sydney Sweeney Will Help Bring (Another) Sega Classic to the Big Screen

After three ‘Sonic’ movies released at the cinema, Sega is working on bringing another of its classic franchises to the big screen.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sega is working on an adaptation of ‘OutRun’, a racing game released in 1986 and whose film already has the involvement of Michael Bay (as director and producer), Sydney Sweeney (as producer) and Jayson Rothwell (as screenwriter).

Apart from ‘Sonic’, there has been no shortage of franchises from the world of video games finding success in the cinema, with the latest examples of ‘Super Mario’ and ‘Minecraft’ having found an equal level of success.
