A farmer in Kenya went viral after being seen walking around with a WiFi router strapped to his helmet, offering affordable internet to people who can’t afford mobile data.
Martin Namasaka said he was fascinated by the design of routers and decided to turn one into a small business idea. After selling part of his harvest, he bought a router, a helmet, and boots — creating a portable internet service he could carry anywhere.
He now moves through busy streets and even boards buses, charging a small fee for people to connect. According to local reports, he earns around $0.30 to $0.40 per day from this creative setup.
A simple idea, strong determination — and a story that caught attention worldwide.
