Hezbollah Fires “Dozens” of Rockets at Israel

In response to the Israeli enemy attack that targeted the Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil and injured civilians, Islamic Resistance fighters today bombarded the settlements of Meron and Safsufa with dozens of 'Katyusha' rockets,” the pro-Iranian Shiite group said in a statement.

According to Lebanon's National News Agency (ANN), an Israeli drone attacked a motorcycle in the vicinity of the health center this morning, killing one person, injuring several others and causing extensive material damage to the hospital.

Since the beginning of the crossfire last October, Israel has attacked several health and civil protection centers, in most cases belonging to humanitarian organizations with links to armed formations involved in the hostilities from southern Lebanon.

At the end of March, seven paramedics were killed in an Israeli bombing of a Lebanese Relief Association center in the southern town of Habariyeh, an attack that Human Rights Watch (HRW) called for to be investigated as a potential “war crime”.

The attack on Meron and Safsufa is the seventh claimed today by Hezbollah, after the Shiite movement carried out another 15 attacks on Israeli targets on Sunday, an average well above normal.

In the Gaza war, the parties have been engaged for more than seven months in the worst clashes since the 2006 conflict.
