Impasse over João Félix. Barcelona Won't Buy Him... And Atlético Doesn't Want Him

There is a stalemate over the future of João Félix, a player whose loan to Barcelona from Atlético de Madrid ends in just over a month, with no solution in sight for his continuity.

According to Tuesday's edition of Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the president of the Culés, Joan Laporta, is a fan of the Portuguese international's qualities, but is hesitant to make a move for him, above all because of his poor performance on the pitch.

To this must be added the fact that the Catalan club is going through one of the most delicate moments in its history, from a financial point of view, so it can't afford to pay the 60 million demanded by its eternal rival.

On the other hand, adds the publication, the Colchoneros don't want the ex-Benfica player back, especially given the bad relationship he has with his coach, Diego Simeone, as a result of several episodes between the two in recent years.

In this sense, the Madrid outfit are now hoping that João Félix has a good campaign at the next European Championship with the main national team, so that he can increase his value and gain more interest.
