Piqué Involved in RFEF Financial Irregularities Case

Gerard Piqué, former Barcelona and Spain international, has been charged with alleged financial irregularities by the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) in the case being investigated over the 'transfer' of the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia, El Cofidencial revealed on Thursday.

The judge in Majadahonda believes that there is evidence that Piqué received a commission of four million euros in the deal between Saudi Arabia and the RFEF.

The same publication also cites the case file to say that Piqué was in active service at the time of the events, as a Barcelona player.
