At least five children were injured today following a Russian attack near a sports center in the Saltovski district of the Ukrainian province of Kharkiv.
The Kharkiv authorities reported that two adults were also injured in an attack that targeted sports facilities at an educational center.
“The Russian army deliberately attacked a civilian target: a sports ground. During the day. When children were playing in the street. The aggressor state will be held responsible for all crimes against the Ukrainian people,” denounced the Kharkiv government office.
The governor of Kharkiv, Oleg Sinegubov, regretted that because of the Russian army “terror continues” against the civilian population of the province and stressed that the medical services are fighting for the children's lives.
Sinegubov added that among the injured minors there are two aged 14 and 15 who are in a serious condition, while among the adult victims only one needed to be transferred to hospital.
