Father Arrested After Being Filmed Abusing Daughter in Hospital ICU

 

In the case reported by Profissão Repórter, a father was arrested after being filmed abusing his own daughter, who was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in São Paulo. The nursing team recorded a video that showed the criminal with his hand inside the victim's apron, touching her breasts, legs and other parts of the body. The victim, a 17-year-old teenager, was in the ICU bed with a tracheostomy, which made the case classified as rape of a vulnerable person.

Police interviewed seven hospital employees as witnesses. During the night, in the father's presence, the patient's vital signs and behavior changed, and the father insisted that the girl leave the ICU to have more privacy with him. Furthermore, the team observed that the father closed the bed curtain on several occasions. A witness reported that, after filming, he noticed that the teenager was agitated when changing her diaper and had redness and cracks in her private parts.

This shocking case highlights the importance of reporting abuse and protecting victims, especially when it comes to vulnerable children and teenagers. The actions of the nursing team were fundamental in exposing the crime and ensuring that the father was held responsible for his actions. Delegate Kelly Cristina Sacchetto confirmed that the forensic examination proved sexual abuse and the injuries caused by it. In addition to the video recorded by the nursing team, the police also investigated other aspects of the case. During interrogation, the father claimed that he was just looking after his daughter and that he had no intention of sexually abusing her. However, the evidence collected, including the forensic examination, contradicts this version.

Delegate Kelly Cristina Sacchetto highlighted that the rape of a vulnerable person is a serious crime and that the victim, as she was hospitalized and had a tracheostomy, was in an extremely vulnerable situation. The nursing team, upon noticing the suspicious signs, acted correctly in reporting the case and protecting the teenager.

The father was detained preventively and is awaiting trial. The Public Prosecutor's Office is also monitoring the process to ensure that justice is served and that the victim receives the support necessary to recover from this trauma.
