In their recently published annual report, customs indicated that 361,572 units of psychotropic pills were seized in 2023, compared to two million in 2022.
As for tobacco trafficking, seizures in 2023 amounted to 438,784 units of contraband cigarettes and various tobacco products.
As part of the fight against the introduction of foreign currency into Morocco without prior declaration, there was also a 110% increase in seizures.
