The man has been suspended from police duties since he was charged.
A British policeman has admitted that he stole money from a man who died on the public highway in Harringay, north London. The man had already been charged in June with police misconduct.
The case took place in September 2022 when Craig Carter received the wallet of Claudio Gaetani, who died suddenly. According to ITV News, the policeman took £115 (over 130 euros).
The confession was made in court when Craig admitted that he had used the money considered ‘evidence in a sudden death case’ for ‘his own use’. The officer has been suspended since he was charged.
Sentencing in the case is scheduled for 13 September.
