A man armed with a machete attacked several people in the residential building where he lived in Switzerland. The suspect injured at least five people, including a baby, reports the Associated Press.
The incident happened at 9.30pm on Thursday in the city of St. Gallen. The 34-year-old suspect attacked a pregnant woman as she arrived to visit her father. The latter was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
The man also injured a 31-year-old woman and her 3-month-old son. Neighbors became aware of the attack and managed to detain the suspect until the police arrived.
According to the authorities, no one's life is in danger and the suspect was known to suffer from mental health problems.
