Ukrainian Anti-Aircraft Defenses Shoot Down Russian Missile And Four Drones



Ukraine's anti-aircraft defenses shot down four Iranian Shahed drones and a Kh-59/Kh-69 missile launched by Russia on Friday night, the Ukrainian air force announced today.


“The enemy attacked with a Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied zone of Zaporijia [southeast] and with four Shahed drones in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia,” said the commander of the Ukrainian air force, Lieutenant General Mikola Oleshchuk.



 

Mikola Oleshchuk added that all the targets were shot down by Ukraine's anti-aircraft defenses in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions.


Also, between Friday and today, Kyiv's anti-aircraft defenses intercepted another eight aerial targets in the south and northeast directions, four Supercam reconnaissance drones, one Forpost attack and reconnaissance drone, one undetermined and two Lancet 'kamikaze drones'.
