At Least Three Killed in Bosnian High School Shooting



Three people died on Wednesday following a shooting at a secondary school in the town of Sanski Most, Bosnia. According to the Reuters news agency, which quotes the local police, the victims and the shooter are employees of the school.


 

The alert that a man had opened fire at the school with an automatic rifle was given at 10.15am local time (9.15am in Lisbon).


The victims are the school headmaster, a secretary and a teacher. 


After the crime, the gunman tried to end his own life and ‘was seriously injured’, revealed the police spokesman for the Una-sana canton, Adnan Beganovic, adding that the case is already being investigated.


The shooting took place at a time when the school was still closed due to the summer holidays. 


According to Bosnian channel N1 TV, which quotes witnesses, the shooter is believed to be a cleaner who had a history of disagreements with the management and was being disciplined.
