Biden Says Ukrainian Incursion Into Kursk Creates ‘Dilemma’ For Putin

US President Joe Biden said today that the incursion by Ukrainian forces into Russia's Kursk region must be creating ‘a real dilemma’ for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Biden confirmed that he has been in daily and hourly contact with his team to discuss, among other things, the evolution of the war in Ukraine, especially after Kiev took the initiative to step up its attacks on Russian territory.

The US President indicated that his administration maintains ‘direct’ and ‘constant’ contact with the Ukrainian government, which it supports both politically and militarily.

According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, there are currently 74 towns under Ukrainian control in the Kursk region.

The operation also extends to other areas such as Belgorod, whose governor on Wednesday declared a state of emergency in the face of a situation that he himself described as ‘extremely complicated’.
