Apple made its debut in a new market this year with the Vision Pro, the first virtual and augmented reality device launched by the brand. Despite somewhat 'timid' sales, the 'Apple Company' should continue to focus on this market in the future with new models.
Well, Apple won't be without competition for much longer. In addition to Meta, which is already present with its Oculus Quest, Microsoft should also join in with its own proposal.
The Elec website reports that Microsoft has contracted the services of Samsung Display to develop micro-OLED screens, with the order reaching "hundreds of thousands" of units for a virtual and augmented reality device dedicated to the consumption of video games, series and films.
It's not known when this new rival to the Vision Pro and Oculus Quest will be launched but, given the work done by Microsoft in the past with the HoloLens, it's possible that we won't be long in hearing about it.
