Bluesky Has 2 Million More Users (Thanks to X Blocking)

The company shared the news in Portuguese.

Proving that it is one of the main beneficiaries of the blocking of X in Brazil, the Bluesky social network posted a message on its page stating that it has added 2 million people in the last week.

 

“Two million new people in the last week. A warm welcome to you all,” reads the post shared by Bluesky, which is also available in Portuguese. This is a huge increase in the number of users for the social network, which currently has 8.4 million users.

It should be remembered that X was blocked in Brazil by order of STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes after Elon Musk failed to comply with Brazilian law, which requires companies operating in Brazil to have a legal representative in the country.

This situation was created after Musk decided to close X's offices in Brazil, after Moraes urged the company to moderate disinformation on the platform.
