Cisco is going ahead with the decision to lay off thousands of its workers, in what is the second wave of redundancies of the year at the US company.
As TechCrunch reports, these layoffs were announced in August and it was already known that they would affect 7% of the company's employees - which equates to around 5,600 people.
However, it took Cisco a month to notify the affected workers and one of the employees contacted by the publication even says that, in the meantime, the company has become “one of the most toxic environments” in which he has worked.
Note that Cisco's first wave of redundancies took place in February, when around 4,000 employees were affected.
