The rapper was arrested in New York (USA) on September 16 and has already been charged. His defense claims innocence.
The lawyer for Sean Combs, known as 'Diddy', revealed that the rapper is undergoing “treatment and therapy”.
The singer has already been charged with sex trafficking and extortion, after being arrested in New York (USA) on Monday night, September 16.
According to his lawyer Marc Agnifilo, quoted by People, Combs is receiving “treatment and therapy for problems he has that need treatment and therapy”.
Agnifilo did not, however, specify the problems in question, claiming confidentiality.
“Mr. Combs is not a perfect person. There was drug use, there were toxic relationships, which I think were mutual in their toxicity, as they usually are,” the lawyer said.
Combs, who pleaded not guilty in court, had his bail request rejected and remains in custody pending trial.
Prosecutors also said that the rapper had what appeared to be drugs in the Manhattan hotel room where he was arrested.
