Authorities are now investigating the circumstances of the incident.
An eight-year-old boy died late on Wednesday after falling from a window at his home in Nottingham, England.
Police and emergency medical services were called to the scene at around 7:15 p.m. local time, police said, as quoted by Sky News.
The boy was rushed to Queen's Medical Centre but later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are now investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Chief Inspector Jon Scurr expressed his condolences, saying the boy's death was "a tragic and devastating loss of life."
"Our thoughts are with the boy's family and loved ones. We are acutely aware that incidents of this nature are distressing for everyone involved and felt by the wider community," he added.
