A Los Angeles subway train derailed this Wednesday after colliding with a vehicle.
The aerial images were shared on social media, and show the wagons off their track - which prompted transport officials in the area to warn users to use buses to get to the east side of the city, located in the US state of California.
According to local publications, at least one person was taken to hospital. It is not known how serious the injuries were, nor whether the victim was in the car or on the train.
Another person traveling in one of the cars was injured.
The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, but it appears that the vehicle was hit 'sideways'.
