YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) and Amazon are the target of a class action lawsuit filed by five contestants of the ‘Beast Games’, a competition produced for the Prime Video service in which more than a thousand participants try to win a prize of 5 million dollars.
The lawsuit - which seeks to represent all the contestants of the program - alleges that, during the production of the ‘Beast Games’, the contestants were subjected to sexual harassment and also to “chronic mistreatment”. In addition, these contestants were also allegedly deprived of health care, food, sleep and also basic hygiene.
“Several contestants ended up being hospitalized, while others reported suffering physical and mental complications from being subjected to chronic mistreatment, humiliation and, for the female contestants, hostile working conditions”, can be read in the lawsuit shared by Variety.
The people responsible for the lawsuit now want Donaldson and Amazon to pay wages that are (allegedly) owed and also compensation for damages caused.
