Lovisa Sjoberg, 48, disappeared on October 15 after a visit to Kosciuszko National Park in Australia.
The photographer is a frequent visitor to the area, where she usually goes to take photographs for a wildlife project.
However, after being seen getting into a gray SUV, the woman's whereabouts were cut off.
Lovisa was found this Sunday, almost a fortnight after she disappeared, suffering from snakebite wounds, reports The Independent.
“She was treated at the scene by paramedics for what we believe was a snakebite and then transported to Cooma district hospital in a stable condition,” they said
Two helicopters, firefighters, security personnel from the National Park State Emergency Service, four-wheel drive vehicles, trail bikes, members of the public and sniffer dogs took part in the rescue work.
The alert to the woman's disappearance came after she failed to meet the date set by the car rental company to deliver the vehicle in which she had traveled to the park.
