According to the Israeli military, in a statement published on the Telegram platform, Israeli air force fighter jets attacked several targets of the internal intelligence services of the political and paramilitary organization Hezbollah, considered terrorist by Israel and several Western countries.
Among the targets attacked, they added, is the headquarters of those services of the Lebanese Shiite organization that, according to the Israeli army, are responsible for collecting information about Israel and its armed forces.
Several Israeli shellings were recorded today, according to the Lebanese news agency (ANN), which said that maneuvers by Tel Aviv forces targeted the neighborhoods of Haret Hreik, Burj al Barajna, Al Amirikan and Al Ghobeiry, with a building "completely collapsed" in the Muawad area.
The Israeli army did not specify which Beirut neighborhoods it attacked.
The target in Muawad was the headquarters of Hezbollah's media body, according to Spanish news agency EFE, citing a source close to the Lebanese Shiite group, who asked not to be identified.
Several images of the building collapsing were broadcast on social media platforms associated with the group.
The municipality of Dahye, an important Hezbollah stronghold on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital, has been a constant target of Israeli attacks in recent weeks, but in recent days, the range of bombings has been expanded to other areas of Beirut.
Israel also continues to heavily bomb several cities in southern and eastern Lebanon, where other Hezbollah strongholds are located, while continuing its ground offensive.
Israel has been attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon for the past 11 months, causing, according to the Lebanese government, around 2,000 deaths and forcing more than 1.2 million people to flee their homes.
