Jared Leto has been accused of supporting Vladimir Putin after saying he wanted to “have fun” in Russia.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that Leto's words were an “insult” to all Ukrainians who have “sacrificed” their lives to “defend” the country after the Kremlin invasion.
It should be remembered that last week, during a concert in Belgrade, Serbia, the lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars said: “Russian energy is at an all-time high tonight. How many Russians do we have here?”.
Later, the artist added: “We miss you guys. One day, when all the problems are over, we'll visit you in your homeland,” he said.
“We'll go back to Serbia, we'll go back to St. Petersburg, to Moscow, and we'll go to Kyiv, where we'll have a party with everyone,” he added.
Leto had already shown his support for Ukraine.
