The two Metropolitan Police officers who were in the unmarked vehicle were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.
A 38-year-old pregnant woman died on Thursday afternoon after the vehicle she was travelling in collided with an unmarked police car in south-east London, UK. The victim's baby also did not survive.
The incident occurred at 6.15pm on the A20, near the junction with Kidbrooke Park Road, in the Eltham area, The Guardian reported.
The same outlet reported that the two Metropolitan Police officers who were in the unmarked vehicle were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.
It is not yet known whether the officers had been mobilized to an emergency incident.
"My heart goes out to the family and friends of the woman who have lost their loved ones in these tragic circumstances," said Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, who heads Greenwich Police.
Lawry also said that the case is being investigated by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and that the road will remain closed today.
