Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks X Rule And Gets 'Warning' From Users

A publication shared on Cristiano Ronaldo's official page on the social network X (formerly Twitter) was entitled to a note from the community, which indicates that the Portuguese international forgot to add relevant information.

The publication in question is made up of two photographs where Ronaldo promotes Herbalife and which reads: “A good way to start the day? A healthy breakfast. Herbalife Formula 1 offers a balanced blend of protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals.”

The publication also has two hashtags in the form of #Herbalife #HealthyBreakfast but, given that it is a sponsored publication, X users believe that Ronaldo should have indicated with a hashtag that he is being paid for the publication.

“Herbalife is a multi-level marketing company, Ronaldo is being paid for the promotional post and should have marked the post as an advertisement,” the community note read.

The note also adds a Wikipedia link where you can read that Cristiano Ronaldo has been sponsored by Herbalife since 2013.

It is worth remembering that these community notes are an X feature created to combat misinformation, allowing users of the social network to add data and information that they consider relevant to inaccurate publications or that require context.
