Breaking Bad House Owners Decide to Sell It Because They're Fed Up With Fans

The real owners of the house that houses the character Walter White in the series 'Breaking Bad' are selling the house after five decades. The reason is that they are fed up with the fans of the series.

Joanne Quintana grew up in this house more than 50 years ago. In 2006, the producers of the famous series knocked on her door and told her that they would like to use it for filming.

'Breaking Bad' aired from 2008 to 2013, and the crew only used the exterior and the backyard of the house for scenes in Walter White's home, played by Bryan Cranston.

After so many years, however, life for the family that owns the house has become hell, caused by the many fans who insist on visiting the house, invading the property.

Worse than that, many threw pizza at the house to imitate an iconic scene from the series.

“We had pizzas on our roof. We had pizzas in our driveway; pizzas until we got sick of looking at pizzas,” Fran Padilla said.

“Fed up” with it, the family decided it was time to move on.

“This has been our family home since 1973, almost 52 years ago. So we’re leaving with just our memories. It’s time to move on. Enough is enough. There’s no point in fighting anymore,” she said.

Some online real estate calculators estimate the market value of the four-bedroom ranch-style home at just over $340,000. But with the power of the TV series “Breaking Bad” behind it, the global luxury real estate service that is listing the home for Quintana and his family has priced it at just under $4 million.
