He Wanted To “Blow Up The School”. Student Arrested For Threatening Attack In France



The young man indicated on social media that he wanted to commit an attack and blow up the César Franck School in Amiens. He was eventually reported by the school's principal.


A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday for threatening to commit an attack in Amiens, in the north of France. According to local media, the boy said on social media that he wanted to "blow up" the school where he studied.


According to the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency, the boy indicated that he wanted to commit an attack and blow up the César Franck School in Amiens, and was reported by the school's principal.


"He said he was going to commit an attack and blow up the school," a police source told AFP.


The boy was eventually arrested at the school and, after being released, was subject to a "precautionary measure" that prohibits access to the school.


Before the threat, the teenager was not known to the French police or intelligence services.
