Mozilla, the Firefox Company, to Lay Off 30% of Its Workers

The Mozilla Foundation, the non-profit organization responsible for the Firefox browser, has announced that it has laid off 30% of its workforce.

The decision was confirmed by the institution to the website TechCrunch, which, however, did not confirm how many people were affected. Note, however, that this is the second wave of redundancies at Mozilla this year.

“The Mozilla Foundation is reorganizing teams to increase agility and impact as we accelerate our work to ensure a more open and equitable technical future for all of us,” reads the Mozilla Foundation statement. “Unfortunately, this means ending some of the work we've done historically and eliminating associated functions to bring more focus on the future.”
