Jamie Carragher warns that "if Manchester City lose to Liverpool, their title defense will be over before Christmas".
This Friday, Jamie Carragher made use of the opinion space he subscribes to in the British newspaper The Telegraph to reflect on the results crisis that Manchester City is experiencing, following a cycle of five defeats and a draw after last six games.
"Pep Guardiola achieved so much in his coaching career that there was a feat that seemed unattainable to him. No one believed that the greatest coach of all time would reach a point where he would appear as human as everyone else in football," he began writing former Liverpool captain.
"All those who would be considered the elite of Guardiola's time - José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Jurgen Klopp - went through moments like this. Some were unable to reverse their relegation and found themselves sent to other clubs", he continued.
"With some hesitation, I'm going to make a prediction, which - due to the Guardiola factor - could come back to haunt me. If Manchester City lose to Liverpool, the defense will end before Christmas", he adds, referring to next Sunday's duel.
