Do you know how long it is safe to use a condom during sex? A doctor told Metro newspaper that you shouldn't do it for more than 30 minutes, as you could be taking several risks.
“Friction weakens the condom, which increases the chances of it tearing. Below that time, there's no problem,” says Bhavini Shah.
“If it's longer than 30 minutes, it's best to play it safe and exchange it for a new condom,” she continues. Likewise, it shouldn't be used more than once.
“A condom is a single-use item. Using it twice increases the chances of it breaking. There's a reason why they're sold in multipacks,” continues the doctor.
